Join us on Saturday, August 5th for the first installment of our new Climate Champion Workshop Series in New York City (location TBD).
This day-long workshop will empower student leaders in New York to become powerful climate policy advocates, and explore opportunities to work with others in the state to #PutAPriceOnIt. Our Climate will bring student leaders together to get trained on carbon pricing policy and how to organize and lobby effectively.
Who: Individuals between the ages of 17-30 are encouraged to apply! We welcome current high school or college students (individuals taking gap years and/or graduate students are welcome to apply as well).
LEARN how to make a case for carbon pricing, and discuss common questions and concerns around the policy.
UNDERSTAND how climate change systematically affects communities of color and low-income communities, and how policy must be designed in an equitable and fair manner to support these communities.
PRACTICE meeting with state and federal lawmakers.
EXPLORE how to work with others in your region to grow a student-led movement to hold polluters accountable with a carbon price.
GET EMPOWERED to organize, lobby, and win strong and equitable carbon pricing policy.
